Y’all may have noticed that I haven’t been blogging much. That’s because most of the things I want to talk about are quick news items, and by the time I think to write up a blog post, they’re “old news”.
But that’s why we have Twitter, right?
So if you want:
- reminders of upcoming Library programs
- quick blurbs about new titles in the collection
- heads up on the latest literary prizes
- fun links about libraries, books, and reading
- anything else that crosses my magpie mind
make sure to “follow” @RogersPublicLib on Twitter! (Or, easier yet, just click on the cute Twitter icon bird on the bottom of this page)
Rogers Public Library is now able to purchase and circulate e-books from Penguin Publishers through Library2Go!
What does this mean to you? If you’re a big fan of bestselling authors like Patricia Cornwell, Sylvia Day, Randy Wayne White, Catherine Coulter, Stuart Woods, Julia Garwood, and many more, and you have a Rogers Public Library card, you can now download their books to your Nook or Kindle or iPad or other e-reading device!
These books are purchase for the use of RPL cardholders ONLY; so if you want to look for your favorite authors, be sure to click on the Library2Go button and login with your library card number and PIN. Check with us at the Information Desk if you have any questions.
While I’m on the subject of exciting news: All you Debbie Macomber and Cedar Cove fans, remember to get your tickets to “Conversations With” the author on October 11, sponsored by the Rogers Public Library Foundation. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Library.
Oh, and don’t forget the ZOMBIE WALK on October 25th — come to the Arvest Ball Park and get your zombie on! Once again, sign up online, and raffle tickets are available at the Rogers Public Library.
That’s a lot of exclamation points!!!
If you want to be the first with the latest news from the Library, please follow us on FaceBook and Twitter.
