Children’s Library New Fall Program

Children’s Library New Fall Program

We have three new programs for children this autumn: Storytime Express, iCollage, and Rebecca’s Read Alouds.

Storytime Express is a traditional storytime for ages 3-5 years. We’ll read stories, sing songs, do movement rhymes, and make a craft. We will focus on a different letter of the alphabet each week, and after we finish the alphabet we’ll do numbers, shapes, etc.

iCollage is an art program for ages 5-12 years inspired by the work of Eric Carle.  We will create a different type of collage each week; for example, the first week we made a “My Summer 2019” collage, where we used all sorts of materials—paint, scissors, glue, pom-poms, gems, marbles, geometric shapes, magazine cut-outs, markers, puzzle pieces, etc., to illustrate what we did this summer.

Listen to classic children’s books read aloud in Rebecca’s Read-Alouds! Beginning August 23 with The Cricket in Times Square, by George Selden! The next two titles will be The Tale of Despereaux, by Kate DiCamillo and The Riddle of Penncroft Farm, by Dorothea Jensen. This program is best for ages 5-12 years.

In addition to the programs above we have a really great line-up of programs through December 21. So if you are between 0 and 12 years old, then visit our events page to see the full lineup!
