The Giver of Stars, the newest title by popular author JoJo Moyes, is a fictionalized retelling of the story of the Horseback Librarians of Kentucky. The story follows Alice Wright as she moves from England to her new home in Kentucky. Feeling lost in a new country and hemmed in by her new husband’s family, Alice finds her place among the women fighting to spread books across the countryside. Moyes’ newest story of friendship, love, and the cost of sharing knowledge will release on October 8.

When Bosch begins to dig into the old case, the murder of a young man in a seedy alley, he struggles to find what had caught his mentor’s attention so long ago. Bosch brings in Renee Ballard for assistance, but they find the answers to their question may not be what they expect. Was his mentor obsessed with solving this case or making sure it remained a mystery?
