Travel the world from your sofa with CultureGrams!

Looking for new ways to learn from home? We can help! Explore cultures from around the world with CultureGrams.

CultureGrams is a great resource for all ages. The States Edition gives you a brief demographic breakdown of each state, their history, famous people who have lived there, even local foods with recipes you can make at home!

CultureGrams World Edition does the same, but for the whole world! Try listening to Bulgaria’s anthem, watching an Italian family prepare pasta, or visiting a camel market in Egypt. Want to know more about everyday life in faraway places? Read through interviews with people of all ages from your favorite countries.

It’s a fun and easy way to learn something new. Find it by searching for CultureGrams on the Research page of our website or with this link.

CultureGrams is provided through the Arkansas State Library Traveler database and will ask your location to provide access. So, if you are not in the State of Arkansas when trying to access CultureGrams, it may not work correctly.

The Traveler program is made possible by a grant from U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arkansas State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. Additional state funds were provided by the Arkansas Department of Education.
