Rogers Public Library has added RBdigital comics to its online collection. RPL card holders now have access to hundreds of comics and graphic novels on RBdigital mobile apps and web browsers.
Patrons of all ages will find something to love in this new collection—from Disney Comics’ beloved characters and stories such as Frozen, Lion King, Star Wars, and Mickey Mouse, to Marvel Comics’ blockbusters Captain Marvel, Spiderman, The Avengers, and X-Men. RBdigital Comics also features other popular titles from top brands, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hellboy, Transformers, Ghostbusters, and My Little Pony.
Patrons can check out comics as an entire volume—rather than having to check out each individual issue—and can instantly read checked-out comics on the RBdigital app or desktop browser.
“The selection really surprised me. There’s quite a few of my favorites and several I’ve been meaning to read for awhile now. The range of different kinds also impressed me. Old comics, newer ones, stuff for kids, stuff for adults, really nice selection.” Evan Day, Teen Librarian

Here are a few suggestions from Evan our Teen Librarian:
This is where it all began for the world famous webslinger. See Peter Parker’s debut, as well as the first appearance of Dr Octopus, the Vulture, Sandman, and the Lizard. You will also find his first crossover with the Fantastic 4 and more! (Kids and up)
This story gets less attention than other Iron Man stories like Demon in a Bottle (also available on RB Digital), but many fans also point to this series where Tony Stark finds super villains using his own technology. Lots of great action as Tony Stark gets to fight other armored foes to stop his creations from being used for evil. (Teen to adult)
Gwen Poole, no relation to Deadpool or Gwen Stacy (not by family anyway) is a comic loving young woman thrust into the Marvel universe who uses her encyclopedic knowledge of Marvel comics and awareness of comic tropes to survive. Knowing she’s likely to be killed off as an extra unless she dons a cape, her adventure begins. Really funny and creative writing by Chris Hastings and cute art by the illustration team of Gurihiru raise this series to another level. (Older teen to adult)
The latest series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics published by IDW reimagines the Turtles, their enemies and allies in a fresh and creative way. Geared for teen and adult fans, it borrows liberally from every version of the Turtles that has come before, be it the cartoons or comics, adds some of their own characters and ideas, and mixes them together. The result is a story that is both fresh and full of nostalgia for fans. Check it out! (Older teen to adult)
