Mental Health Awareness Action Day

Mental Health Awareness Action Day

Rogers Public Library would like to recognize an important effort by MTV along with other sponsors; this event is Mental Health Awareness Action Day. This endeavor will include various activities which are meant to bring about greater consciousness of and support for mental health. The first official Mental Health Action Day will take place on May 20, 2021.

As you may have heard, many individuals have experienced an increase in underlying personal mental health concerns during the pandemic. Our library has also noted concerns about this in one of our Wellness Journey programs where we looked at research on various ways of coping with increased stress during the pandemic.

We plan to offer some further information on this topic in the near future.

Take a moment today to take action on your own mental health. From taking a yoga class to reaching out to a friend, taking action on your mental health can be easy. If you don’t know where to start, take action at MentalHealthIsHealth.us. “Mental Health is Health” is an MTV Entertainment Group initiative rooted in the reality that we all have mental health and need to take care of it like we do our physical health. The initiative aims to normalize conversation, create a connection to resources and inspire action on mental health.
