Getting an RPL Account:
What do I need to get a library card?
To become a member of the Rogers Public Library you will need to provide two items:
- Photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.)
- Verification of your current physical address (utility bill, mail, vehicle registration, voter card, checkbook, etc.) Your name must be printed on this item. NOTE: P.O. boxes cannot be used for address verification, but if this is how you receive mail, you will need to provide this as well.

Are library cards free?
Yes, if you reside within the city limits of Rogers. As a resident of the City of Rogers you pay a library millage tax to support the library, which funds the purchase of materials and the general operation of the library.
Why do non-residents have to pay for a card?
All residents of the City of Rogers pay a library millage tax to support the library. This tax funds the purchase of materials and the general operation of the library. Non-residents pay a portion of the tax which is set by the library Board of Directors. As of August 2011, the cost is $15 per year per address. The fee covers all people who live at the address.
Can I renew my library account online?
No, we hope to have this feature available in the future. At present, you may renew your library account by visiting the Registration Desk at RPL. Please call (479)621-1152 ext. 6018 with any questions.
We don’t live in Rogers, but my child goes to Rogers Public Schools. Do I have to pay to get a card for my child?
The library has a special program for students who live outside the city limits but attend school within the Rogers school district. A fee of $2 per year gives a student access to all materials. These cards are subsidized by the Friends of the Rogers Public Library. The Friends will cover the cost of the student card if needed. Parents/legal guardians need to provide photo identification, verification of current physical address, and sign to be responsible for the materials that their child borrows from the library. I’m a teacher, but I don’t live in Rogers. Can I get a card?
What is an eCard?
An eCard allows you to access all the digital resources RPL has to offer. You cannot check out physical materials with an eCard; however, an individual may have both an eCard and a traditional library card at the same time. At this time, eCards have been distributed to all students and teachers in the Rogers Public Schools system.

I returned a book last week, but I received an overdue notice. Help!
If you received an e-mail notice: Reply to the notice, and the staff will look for the item and email a response within 24 hours.
If you received a letter in the mail: Please call the library at (479)621-1152 ext. 6021 and ask the staff to look on the shelves. We will call you back within 24 hours with the results of the search.
How do eBooks work?
You will need your Rogers Library card and PIN to check out eBooks. Log on to Library2Go! to check out eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, videos and music. Our digital media is compatible with many devices, including your personal computer, Android, Nook, Kindle, Apple products and more. Can I renew my items online?
Yes, you may renew books, audiobooks, magazines, and music CDs. You may not renew DVDs, Blu-rays, video games, software, or any items that are on hold for another patron. Please follow the instructions below. Or you can always call the Library staff for assistance at (479)621-1152 ext. 6016.
- Go to the library website www.rogerspubliclibrary.org.
- At the top left of any page click on “Sign in to Your Account.”
- Log into your account by entering your last name, library card barcode# and PIN# and click “Submit.”
- Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on My Account.
- On left, click button “Checked out items.”
- Scroll down to your list. Check the boxes of all the items you wish to renew, then click the renew button at the bottom. You should get a note telling you that the renewal was successful.
How do I reserve meeting rooms online?
RPL has two meeting rooms you may reserve online: Friends of RPL Community Room (max. capacity 235) and Glotzbecker Conference Room (max. capacity 20). To reserve these follow the directions below. We also have study rooms available on a first come-first serve basis. You may request a study room reservation by calling (479)621- 1152 ext.6020. Be sure to read our Meeting Room Policy.
- Go to the library website www.rogerspubliclibrary.org.
- At the bottom right of any page, under More, click on “Request a Meeting Room”.
- Start on the left side of the page to select a date. (To change the month, click on the arrow to the right of the calendar.)
- Below the calendar, select a room. Friends of RPL Community Room or Glotzbecker Conference Room are the only rooms you may reserve online.
- Now you will able to see the times the room is open on that day in the center of the screen.
- Check the box or boxes next to the time desired.
- Go to the bottom of the page and click on Continue.
- Fill in the information form.
- Click on Verify Request at the bottom.
Can I pay my fines/fees online?
No, not yet. We are working to make this option available to you in the future.
I lost my card. Can I still check out?
You are allowed three checkouts per year without your library card. You will be required to have your card after the third time. If you have lost your card, you may purchase a replacement for $2 at the Registration Desk.
Lost or Damaged Items:
What should I do if an item is lost or damaged while I have it?
Bring in the damaged item and turn it in at the Check Out Desk. The Lost/Damage clerk will assess the item and send you a letter with the amount needed to repair or replace the item.
What should I do if I check something out and find out it is damaged when I open it?
Please call the library immediately at (479)621-1152 ext. 6021 or 6010 and ask for the circulation manager or overdues clerk.
What do I do if I lost the DVD/CD or case but I have the rest?
Please return the parts you have to the check out desk as soon as possible. This will count as the date returned and all fines will stop accruing. Keep looking for the missing part and return it as soon as it is found. If you cannot find it, please contact the overdues clerk or the circulation manager, and you will receive a letter with the amount needed to replace the missing part, or replace the entire item, as necessary.
I’m visiting from out of town, can I use a computer?
The library has computers available for visitors to conduct business or check e-mail. There is a time limit of 15 minutes to 1 hour. If you are a frequent visitor to the area, or plan to stay for a longer visit, we do have temporary 30-day cards available for $5, or you might wish to purchase a yearly non-resident membership for $15 a year.
Do you accept donations of books/magazines/movies, etc?
Yes, we accept donations of items in good condition. Any items that we do not choose to put in our collection are sent to the Friendly Bookstore. The Friendly Bookstore is run by the Friends of the Library. All proceeds from the sale of the items go to support the Rogers Public Library in various ways.

Do you have a fax machine?
No, fax service is not available in the library. The Reference Librarians have a list of businesses in the area that offer fax services.
Do you have scanning capabilities?
Yes, at the Reference Desk. You can scan to a thumb drive or send the scan directly to an email at no cost.
Does the library provide notary services?
No, not at this time. We are working to make this available to you in the future.
Do you have public WiFi?
Yes. Currently no password is required but you must accept the agreement on the opening splash page to connect. Our WiFi name is RPL Public WiFi.
