Please note that Wellness Journey meetings are currently being held virtually. If you register for the meeting you will be emailed a Zoom link on Tuesday, 08/18//20 the day before we meet on August 19th. Register Here: https://bit.ly/30v41TB

We will cover topics which are related to working on establishing lives for ourselves that may be healthier, happier, and with more freedom from stress. Attendees are welcome to share information on what has worked for them and what hasn’t worked related to areas covered in group consideration.
Participants should be aware that no medical claims are made for these discussion groups interactions, rather the meetings are intended to provide a forum for discussing information related to various topic areas of attendee interest.

Our August meeting is entitled: Communication & Coping in the Time of Covid-19.
Situations that arise during which we feel we have no control can be the hardest ones to which we must try to cope and adapt. One of our major avenues of coping that of seeking social support has been taken from us and/ or at least handicapped during the pandemic due to the need for greater social distancing. Seeking social support from our fellow humans is an important source of raising our likelihood of creating better health & cognition and potentially adding time to our lifespans. We will also be discussing other stressors connected to the pandemic fallout and how we can cope more effectively with the challenges that face us fostering a healthier future.
Please contact Lyndall R. Dean-Weir, 479-621-1152, email:
ldean-weir@rogersar.gov if you have questions or would like to be registered for the meeting. Thank you.
