An Ocean of Reading Possibilities!

Jun 1, 2022

The Summer Reading Program is finally here! Join the Rogers Public Library as we celebrate summer weather, beaches, and books. Throughout this summer, if you choose to participate you’ll have the opportunity to win prizes, make interesting crafts, watch ocean themed movies all here at the library, and learn about the fascinating underwater world that covers more than two thirds of the earth. To sign up, go to this page and create your ReadSquared account.

Starting today, June 1st, you can begin reporting your reading successes. For each book that you finish are awarded 200 points on your account. Your first book each week will get you entered into our drawings for that week. There will be two prize drawings during each week of the program. So, if you miss one, don’t worry, there will be plenty of chances to win throughout the summer!

Also starting today, our first adult Take It and Make It craft video has been posted. While supplies last, you can pick up a bag from our library check-out desk to take home and create a craft using our video instructions on Youtube. With the first craft, you will be making Squeegee Paint Art. We will also be posting weekly videos on various ocean-themed topics like Ocean Fun Facts, Shark Week, and Scuba with Keli.

Finally, each weekend we will be showing an ocean-themed movie. Check out the Rogers Public Library adult events page for the titles and dates of each movie that will be shown this summer. For more information, visit our website or stop by the library and ask us directly.

Hope to see you this summer!
