Were you able to participate in the CB to You Mobile Art Lab‘s previous visits to the Rogers Public Library? Now you can bring the experience all the way home by borrowing a CB to You: Art Tote! The Mobile Art Lab has partnered with local artist Tram Colwin to create and supply art kits with projects based on recent or upcoming exhibits at Crystal Bridges, and all you need is a valid library card to join the fun.
Each kit contains everything you need to complete three projects that have been designed for artists of all ages. You are never too young or too old to have fun creating, but some projects may benefit from adult supervision.
Feeling artistic? All you have to do is visit the library, borrow a kit, spend two weeks creating, and return everything you don’t use up. Due to the limited quantity of art totes, you may want to call ahead (479-621-1152) and verify they are available before you come to the library.
You can expect some art supplies to be used completely during your projects, but you can return everything else in the convenient tote bag. Then, the library will refill any needed materials so someone else can borrow and create. Although you need to return all unused materials in the tote bag, everything you create is yours to keep.
In The Dirty South kit, you will find the supplies you need to complete an Arkansas-themed coloring project, scrapbook paper collage, and molded-clay decoration.
The We the People art tote contains a constitutional coloring page as well as supplies to create your own watercolor bookmark and personalized stamp.
You can fashion your own designs with the Fashioning America art projects. Plan your own jacket design with a coloring page, create a clothing collage with natural elements, and learn to weave by creating a colorful pin.
