Northwest Arkansas is emerging to be one of the premiere destinations for bicyclists. The City of Rogers has a strong bicycle culture with well-developed cycling infrastructures integrated into a vital part of Rogers’ landscape. Rogers is developing over 60 miles of trails to connect with one another throughout the city.
The City of Rogers is having a Bike Challenge for the month of May. Complete the bike challenges and you will receive badges. For each challenge completed, you will be entered into a drawing to win a Railyard Bike T-shirt! You can learn more at the following link.
What kind of biking is out there for you to try?
BMX – Short bursts of energy to help you with stunts and ramps.
Cyclocross – Bike racing where you can encounter obstacle courses of mud, sand, pavement, dirt, and or grass.
Mountain – A heavier bike compared to road bikes, used for off-road and rugged terrain.
Tandem Cycling – Two person bicycle requiring synchronization.
Track – Constant pedaling in a fixed gear with no brakes.
Road – Most popular, endless pavement but watch out for traffic!
Electric bikes – Bike with a small motor for long distance at a higher speed.
